You’re here to get to know me, huh?
I’m a 90’s girl from Detroit, MI who loves food, learning new things, creating, and experiencing life in new ways. A complete ball of energy that loves to have a good time, I believe that you should live life to the fullest and be your most authentic self.
My name is Desiree’ Slaughter, but I pretty much go by Desi (most of the time). I’m a multitalented creative professional and creativepreneur. After almost a decade living in East Lansing/Lansing, MI (because I went to Michigan State University), I’m now living in Houston, TX with my dog Bandit while I work on figuring out this thing called life (secretly dying to get back to Detroit).
I wake up every day with the drive to learn, grow as a person, build wealth, make a positive impact on the world and inspire others. From the time I was young, I have always had a wide range of interests, that typically revolve around cooking and eating great food, nerding out on whatever I was passionate about, and creating to my heart’s desire.
My Motto …
Not only am I a “creativepreneur” that strives to build a thriving creative empire, but I also strive to create and give the best version of me in all that I do.I don’t just create, I create me!
My Slogan …
Eat good food, Nerd out on the things I love, Create intentionally, and Grow daily.#EatNerdCreateGrow
I shamelessly love Apple products and I spend hours online for everything from work to browsing. I’ve put so many years (not days, YEARS) worth of time into learning as much as I could about whatever sparked my interests, that I finally decided to stop procrasti-FAKING and start putting some of those hours into my long-time desire to start a blog and YouTube channel to explore all of the things that I love.
Thus, JustDesi.me was born!
My Plan For This Blog
This blog will feature posts ranging from food, beauty, lifestyle, and personal development to my story, places I’ve been, things I’ve done, my loc journey, and other experiences worth documenting.
Basically, if you care to follow along the journey of a late 20-something (knocking on 30) year old, stick around for my weekly posts! You might find some useful and relatable information that you can benefit from. (^_^)
As you may, or may not, know, I’m a bit of a web junkie. Being a millennial and growing up with social media, it has become an integral part of my everyday life. Although I took a very long sabbatical from posting any meaningful or original content, with the launch of this blog, that’ll be changing!
