Before #EarthDay2021 ends, I thought I’d share.

My apartment decided to give play starter kits to celebrate today. This was right on time since I’ve been working on enhancing my living space and really making it my happy place.

Between 2020 and 2021, we have all had a crazy year. Being home and alone most of the time has really had me rethinking what I really want in my life and what it will take for me to have a fulfilled life on my own terms. I’m also learning how to find happiness in the moment and live intentionally.

After taking a long, hard look into many areas of my life, I have paired back lots of things to curate the life that I want moving forward.

I’ll be sharing more about my personal journey, technology, and my business endeavors. These are the things that I find bring me the most joy.

I’ve really been trying to get back into being m

I’ve really been trying to get back into being more consistent online, but it’s been quite the challenge. 😰

I’ve been doing a lot of research and working with some really great programs like @socialwithrocki IG course. Every time I open up IG to post or engage, I feel uninterested in most of the content that I am seeing in my feed.

My goal is to be more intentional with how I am using my social media accounts to boost my success as a #solopreneur. For this reason, I am going to be unfollowing quite a few people to curate a better IG experience for myself.

Hey there! 🙋🏾‍♀️ There's a lot of new faces around here and I realize I haven't introduced myself or been active in quite a LONG WHILE!⁠ I'm feeling like a chat. 😊

My name is Desiree' Slaughter, but I prefer to go by Desi (Des-zee).

I'm a code writing, pixel pushing, content crafting, influencer and creativepreneur from Detroit, MI, currently living in East Lansing, MI.

My specialty is Branding, WordPress Web Design & Technology

By day, I’m usually helping #creativepreneurs build the creative life of their dreams and #smallbusinesses grow their brands. By night, I work as a technical support agent. Being a Capricorn, I’m a worker-bee so it’s easy to get lost in my work.

When I’m not working, lately I’ve been pretty much of a homebody, enjoying things like journaling, catching up with my shows, indulging in some self-care, hanging with my 5yo rescue pup Bandit 🐶 (@bringingupbandit), or binge-watching TikTok videos 🤫 (among other things).

✨I've only had one bite of a PB&J in my life and everyone seems to think that it's pretty weird (growing up I didn’t like my food to touch and that was just wrong in my mind LOL).⁠

✨I’m an ENFJ-T, A.K.A. The Protagonist. A natural-born leader with a strong sense of purpose for helping and connecting with others.

✨I’m a fixer — a total perfectionist and out-of-the-box thinker (some of my previous employers didn't like this as much and just wanted me to do my work without coming up with new & faster ways to doing things).⁠

✨I’m a huge foodie! I love to eat, cook, and explore the culinary world. (I've recently become a pescatarian.⁠)

✨I’m an unapologetic nerd! The Sims, Harry Potter, SciFi, Anime, you name it!

✨Some of my biggest pet peeves are: scribbles on my paper or messing up when I write, being asked monotonous questions, and inefficiency.
